Welcome to Ariel's Solace - a place to ROAR or whisper.
This site is for the unspoken Secondary Survivors of Abuse. This is a part of the beginning of an organization for the parent(s), for the mother, for the father, the sisters and brothers.
Those who had to stand up to doubters, the liars and the very abusers themselves. It takes great courage to truly stand up and protect a person who has been abused. Whether you are a person in your mid life and your adult child begins to remember things that shake your life or you are a younger parent that is forced to protect a young child now.
Here is a place for you, too, reach out to others, tell your story, speak, listen, ROAR or whisper.
Ariel is my nickname - It is a Hebrew name meaning "lioness of god." I got that nickname walking through the darkest hour of my life. When, I too, had to go against all the odds, all the tormentors, all the skeptics, I too, had to take care of my young ones, and like a Lioness, I roared to the occasion. I feel that God has been the energy and the breathe of my life even when I had none. The strength behind my strength, so I cannot excluded him from my praise or my name. I am not just a lioness for my children, I am a "lioness of God."
For I deeply hold to the belief that all children are God's Children. He merely blesses us, parents, with the chance to help them grow and mature and stand before him as adults. It is our job to protect and care for them. A god given assignment and privilege, I take very seriously.
There are many resources for the survivor's of abuse in this world and many places for them to give voice to heal.
I want to give voice to the often unspoken, un-helped, often unbelieved, secondary Survivor's, that needs to heal in a very different way.
Often the parent is left to rebuild many aspects of there life and the lives of each family member, sometimes even years after the ravages of Childhood Sexual Assault and Abuse.
